“Women-owned businesses are one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy. As we continue to look to small businesses to grow, create jobs and lead America into the future, women-owned businesses will play a key role. That’s why providing them with all the tools necessary to compete for and win federal contracts is so important.”

Woman-Owned Small Business

Rebecca Reynolds Consulting (RRC), a woman-owned business for 20 years doing highly successful work with federal government partners, is now a certified Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB).

What is WOSB certification?

In February, 2011 the Small Business Administration (SBA) created a special contracting class for WOSB to facilitate the hiring process. Qualifying businesses can become WOSB certified, making them eligible for contracting set asides of five percent of agency budgets.

The WOSB category is the result of findings that some types of small businesses are underrepresented in the federal contracting system. These underrepresented WOSBs are identified by specific NAICS codes (see below).

What are the benefits of WOSB?

RRC’s WOSB certification is expected to ease contracting for our clients, result in a faster track and greater transparency in the contracting process.

The WOSB Federal Contract Program allows contracting officers, for the first time, to set aside specific contracts for certified WOSBs and will help federal agencies achieve the existing statutory goal of five percent of federal contracting dollars being awarded to WOSBs.

What are the RRC applicable NAICS codes?

RRC services fall under two of the underrepresented NAICS codes:

1. 541611 Administrative Management and General Management Consulting Services, which covers RRC consulting services for Strategic Planning, Executive Coaching and Strategic Advising, Change Management, Governance Redesign, Collaborative Process Development and Facilitation.

2. 611430 Professional and Management Development Training, which covers RRC Leadership Development and Training.

RRC’s listings in the CCR and ORCA reflect its WOSB certification.
